Small innovations in the start mode and in the schedule of the Race Around Austria

Im Reglement des Race Around Austria kommt es beim Startmodus zu kleinen Änderungen.

In the regulations of the Race Around Austria, there are small innovations in the start mode. Solo athletes can now freely choose the starting block when registering. In addition, a start block C is introduced. Women on the extreme route can also choose the starting block themselves.

Starting Block C: Start on Monday at 08:30 p.m. Men and women have the full waiting period at this starting block. Disadvantage: Start into the night.

Starting Block B: Start on Tuesday at 08:30 a.m. Waiting period 5 days, 9 hours. Advantage: One night less. Women can now use this advantage, too.

Starting Block A: Start on Tuesday at 08:30 p.m., favorites for the overall victory. Waiting period: 115 hours.

The award ceremony for the solo athletes will take place on Sunday at 03:00 p.m.

The Austrian Cycling Association assigns Austrian Championships to the 24-hour race in Grieskirchen and to the Ultra Cycling Challenge in Kaindorf.

The Austrian Championships will be practiced 2019 in solo competition (male / female) in Grieskirchen and in team competition (team of 2, team of 4, each male / female) at the 24-hour Ultra Cycling Challenge in Kaindorf. Therefore, the titles and jerseys will be awarded in a 24-hour slipstream circuit race this year. In addition, there is a possibility to participate as an athlete in the solo and team competition.

Registration for the Race Around Austria 2019 starts on 15th February 2019 as usual. Until April 1, 2019 there is a discounted registration fee in all categories. Especially at the Race Around Austria CHALLENGE you should be very quick, because here we expect a sold-out race in 2019 as well.
